چکیده: 

A PVC ion-selective membrane electrode based on Cd-tetraphenyl porphyrine as a carrier was prepared for determination of Mno4- ion. This electrode revealed good selectivity toward permanganate ion over a wide variety of anions. Effects of some experimental parameters such as nature of the plasticizer, the amounts of carrier and additive, and concentration of the internal solution on the potential response of the proposed sensor were investigated. The electrode exhibited a sub-Nernstian slope of 51.0±1.0 mV per decade for Mno4- over a concentration range of 3.3x10-6-7.5x10-2 M in the pH range 5.0-10.0. The detection limit and response time of the electrode were 1.7x10-6 M and 14 s, respectively. The electrode can be used within 3 days without any considerable divergence in its potential. This electrode was successfully employed for indirect determination of Mn (II).

چکیده: 

The key role of developing new and effective analytical tools and techniques for various species need not be discussed. Furthermore, reviewing the trends dominating the development of such tools and techniques can be of great importance to those active in the research and development areas. In designing an electrochemical sensor, finding a suitable selectophore is very important. In potentiometric ion-selective sensors, ionophores play a significant role in the selective response of the sensor. Besides the ionophore, other components of the electrode can improve the response. This review article tends to focus on the development of samarium ion electrodes over the past decades to provide researchers in the area of selective electrochemical analysis with a better insight into one of the various areas of electrochemical sensor development. Accordingly, the history of the development of potentiometric ion-selective sensors for samarium ions, with details on the ionophores, compositions, and electrochemical properties thereof has been provided.

در این پژوهش الکترودی با گزینش پذیری بالا برای شناسایی یون برمید از مشتقات آزاپیریلیوم به عنوان یونوفری مناسب، ساخته شده است. پاسخ الکترود به یون برمید در گستره ( (pH=4.0-9.5و گستره غلظت 1.0×10-1) تا  (9.0×10-6مولار خطی بوده و دارای شیب نرنستی (60±1mV) می باشد. حد تشخیص آن (3.0×10-6) مولار است. ضرایب گزینش پذیری با استفاده از روش پتانسیل الحاقی (MPM) به دست می آیند. این روش نشان می دهد مزاحمت آنیون های آلی و معدنی ناچیز است. حسگر پیشنهادی پاسخ زمانی نسبتا سریع (حدود 20 ثانیه) را نشان می دهد و این حسگر به عنوان الکترود شناساگر در سنجش یون برمید با یون Ag+ به کار می رود.

چکیده: 

در این کار الکترود یون گزین (ISE) سرب با استفاده از روش سل− ژل و بر پایه مواد اولیه تترا اتوکسی سیلان (TEOS) و دی اتوکسی دی متیل سیلان (DEDMS) ساخته و بررسی شد. اگزالیک اسید به عنوان یک حامل ارزان، ساده و کارآمد برای شناسایی و اندازگیری یون سرب معرفی و مورد استفاده قرار گرفت. پاسخ الکترود با روش اندازگیری پتانسیومتری و ویژگی های آن توسط آنالیزهای طیف سنجی مادون قرمز تبدیل فوریه (FTIR) و میکروسکوپ الکترونی روبشی (SEM) بررسی شد. نتایج بدست آمده نشان داد که پاسخ الکترود به مقدار حامل استفاده شده وابسته است. الکترود ساخته شده با5/0% وزنی اگزالیک اسید بیشترین حساسیت را نسبت به یون سرب نشان می دهد. پاسخ خطی الکترود با شیب نرنستی mV/decade 63/28 در محدوده غلظتی 6-10×1/6 تا 2-10×7/1 مولار است. حد تشخیص الکترود برابر با 7-10×1، زمان پاسخ آن برابر با 15 ثانیه و زمان نیمه عمر آن حدودا 2 ماه می باشد. الکترود در محدوده pH حدود 4-6 قابل استفاده بوده و پاسخ مناسبی نشان می-دهد. همه نتایج بدست آمده موید این است که الکترود یون گزین سرب حساسیت، گزینش پذیری، پایداری بالا، زمان پاسخ سریع، تکثیر پذیری و تکرار پدیری بالایی دارد که نشان دهنده کارآمد بودن آن است.

In this study, a potentiometric sensor based on a pencil graphite electrode (PGE) coated with polypyrrole doped with Titan yellow dye (PPy/TY) was prepared for potentiometric determination of magnesium ion in aqueous solutions. The structural characteristics of magnesium sensor electrode (PGE/PPy/TYMg) were studied using scanning electron microscopy and Fourier transform infrared along with energy-dispersive spectroscopy. Under the optimal conditions, the electrode reveals a good Nernstian behavior with slope of 28.27±0.40 mV per decade over the concentration range of 1.0´10-5-5.0´10-2 M and a detection limit of 6.28´10-6 M. The potentiometric response of fabricated electrode toward magnesium ion was found to be independent of the pH of the test solution in the pH range of 4.5-8.0. The electrode showed fast response time (<10 s) and good shelf lifetime (>2 months). The prepared magnesium sensor electrode can also be used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of Mg2+ with EDTA with distinguished end point. The electrode revealed good selectivity with respect to many cations including alkali, alkaline earth, transition and heavy metal ions. The introduced magnesium electrode was used for measurement of Mg2+ ion in real samples without any serious interferences from other ions.

CERIUM IS A MEMBER OF LANTHANIDE GROUP OF ELEMENTS. IT HAS MANY INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS IN THE AREAS OF LIGHTING, METALLURGY, GLASS AND CERAMICS. DUE TO ITS USAGE IN MANY FIELDS OF HUMAN ENDEAVOR, THERE IS GROWING NEED TO STUDY THE ENVIRONMENTAL, MEDICAL AND BIOLOGICAL EFFECTS OF CERIUM. HENCE, THE AVAILABILITY OF RAPID, SENSITIVE AND SELECTIVE METHODS FOR CERIUM DETERMINATION IS OF IMPORTANCE [1]. AMONG DIFFERENT TECHNIQUES THAT ARE USED FOR MEASURING METAL CATIONS, POTENTIOMETRIC TECHNIQUE USING ION SELECTIVE ELECTRODES IS A SIMPLE, RAPID, INEXPENSIVE AND SELECTIVE METHOD [2, 3]. IN THIS PROJECT, A CERIUM (III) SELECTIVE ELECTRODE WAS PREPARED BY INCORPORATING DIBENZO-18-CROWN-6 AS A NEUTRAL IONOPHORE. THE BEST RESPONSE CHARACTERISTIC WAS OBTAINED USING THE COMPOSITION (W/W%) OF NITROBENZENE (AS PLASTICIZER): PVC: SODIUM TETRAPHENYLBORATE (AS AN ANION EXCLUDER): DIBENZO-18-CROWN-6 IN THE PERCENTAGE RATIO OF 63.0: 30.0: 2.0: 5.1. THE ELECTRODE EXHIBITS SIGNIFICANTLY ENHANCED RESPONSE TOWARD CERIUM IONS OVER A WIDE CONCENTRATION RANGE WITH A GOOD NERNSTIAN SLOPE. THE DETECTION LIMIT OF THE ELECTRODE WAS 9.7×10-7 M. THE EFFECTS OF THE PH AND POSSIBLE INTERFERING IONS WERE INVESTIGATED. THE PROPOSED ELECTRODE WAS SUITABLE FOR USE IN AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS IN A WIDE PH RANGE OF 1.0-10.0 AND REVEALED A GOOD SELECTIVITY TOWARDS CE3+ION OVER A WIDE RANGE OF METAL CATIONS. IN ADDITION, THIS ELECTRODE WAS SUCCESSFULLY USED FOR THE DETERMINATION OF CE3+ IN REAL SAMPLES.

A PVC membrane electrode based on 1- [({[(butylsulfunyl) carbothioyl] disulfanyl} carbothioyl) sulfanyl] butane as a suitable ion carrier for determination of lanthanum (III) ion was prepared. This electrode revealed such a good selectivity toward La3+ion over a wide variety of other metal ions. Some experimental parameter such as membrane composition, nature, and amount of plasticizer, the amount of additive, and concentration of internal solution on the potential response of La3+sensor were investigated. The electrode exhibits a Nernstian slope of 20.9±1.8 mV per decade of La3+over a wide concentration range 3.3×10-7-1.0×10-2 M in the pH range 3.7-7.3. The response time is about 7s and detection limit is 2.5 ×10-7 M and it can be used for at least 1month without any considerable divergence in potential. It was used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of lanthanum (III) ion with EDTA.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THIS WORK IS STUDY THE POTENTIOMETRIC BEHAVIOR OF AMOXICILLIN (AMX) AT NANO ZEOLITE-MODIFIED ION SELECTIVE ELECTRODE DOPPED WITH COPPER (II) IONS (CU2+). ZEOLITE THAT USED IS CLINOPTILOLITE THAT MADE IT INTO NANO PARTICALES WITH BALL-MILL METHOD. ONE OF THE PROPERTIES OF ZEOLITES IS ABILITY TO ION EXCHANGE AND APPLIED HERE FOR MAKING MODIFIER [1]. CU2+ WORK AS CATALYST TO OXIDIZE AMX WITH NANO CLINOPTILOLITE THIS AIM INCREASE BECAUSE NANO PARTICLES HAVE BETTER RATIO SURFACE TO VOLUME. MODIFIER THAT APPLIED IN ELECTRODE IDENTIFY BY XRD METHOD AND SEM. IN THIS WORK FOR PREPARATION ION SELECTIVE ELECTRODE AND MIXED DIOCTYL PHTHALATE AND CU(II)-NC AND POLY VINYL CHLORIDE AND TETRAHYDROFURAN. THEN GLASSY PIPES WITH A DIAMETER OF 2 MM INSERTED IN MIXTURE AND DRYING IN ROOM TEMPERATURE REVIEWED THE ELECTRODES RESPONSE IN ABSENT AND PRESENT OF AMX BY POTENTIOMETRIC METHOD. BY USING THIS ELECTRODES EXPERIMENTAL PARAMETERS AFFECTING ON THE EFFICIENCY INCLUDING SOLUTION PH, TEMPERATURE AND MODIFIER PERCENT WERE EXAMINED AND OPTIMIZED. Β-LACTAMIC ANTIBIOTICS (INCLUDING HERE AMX) ARE THE OLDEST AND IMPORTANT ANTIMICROBIAL AGENT THAT ARE STILL WIDELY USED TO TREAT HUMAN AND ANIMAL DISEASES. VARIOUS ANALYTICAL METHODS HAVE BEEN REPORTED FOR THE SEPARATION AND DETERMINATION OF AMX BASED ON SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC [2], [3] AND [4], FLUORIMETRIC [5] CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS [6] AND [7], HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY [8] AND [9] AND ELECTROCHEMICAL METHODS [10-12].

THE DEVELOPMENT OF ION SELECTIVE SENSORS ARE THE WELL ESTABLISHED IN MOST FREQUENT APPLICATIONS IN THE FIELDS OF ENVIRONMENTAL, AGRICULTURAL, INDUSTRIAL AND CLINICAL ANALYSIS [1].THIS IS DUE TO THEIR SEVERAL ADVANTAGES, SUCH AS HIGH SPEED, EASE OF PREPARATION, SIMPLE INSTRUMENTATION, RELATIVELY FAST RESPONSE, WIDE WORKING CONCENTRATION RANGE, ADEQUATE SELECTIVITY AND LOW COST [2-4].IN THIS STUDY, A NEW POLYVINYL CHLORIDE (PVC) MEMBRANE SENSOR FOR LA3+ION BASED ON KRYPTOFIX 22DD AS AN ION CARRIER WAS PREPARED. EFFECTS OF EXPERIMENTAL PARAMETERS SUCH AS MEMBRANE COMPOSITION, AMOUNT OF PLASTICIZER AND AMOUNT OF ADDITIVE ON THE POTENTIAL RESPONSE OF LA3+SENSOR WERE INVESTIGATED. THE BEST OPERATION OBTAINED IN THE MEMBRANE INCLUDING: 4.0 MG KRYPTOFIX 22DD, 1.0 MG SODIUM TETRAPHENYL BORATE (NATPB), 65.0 MG NITROBENZENE (NB) AND 30.0 MG PVC. THE SENSOR EXHIBITED A NERNSTIAN SLOPE OF 17.9 MV/DECADE IN LA3+ ACTIVITY. THE STATIC RESPONSE TIME WAS 5 S OVER THE ENTIRE CONCENTRATION RANGE AND POTENTIALS STAYED CONSTANT FOR 4 MIN. THE PRACTICAL UTILITY OF THE SENSOR HAS BEEN DEMONSTRATED BY USING IT AS AN INDICATOR ELECTRODE IN THE POTENTIOMETRIC TITRATION OF LA3+WITH EDTA. THE PROPOSED SENSOR WAS SUCCESSFULLY USED FOR DETERMINATION OF LANTHANUM (III) IN REAL WATER SAMPLES.
